Terri M. Prewitt fell in love with art when she was in the ninth grade. Inspired by the complex patterns she found in nature, she experimented with a variety of media.
In 2010 while on her way to work, Terri found two dried gourds for sale on a front lawn, and bought them. That was the beginning of her gourd experience. She loves to design and wood burn her artwork designs onto the clean surface of a gourd.
Terri has also discovered polymer clay and likes combining this media and others in some of her pieces.
She crochets bases and other additions for some of her gourds using a thin wire, sometimes adding beads and other items.
