POETRY CHAPBOOK: The Hatchet Buddha
Rebecca Gayle Howell holds an MA in linguistics from the University of Kentucky and an MFA in poetry and poetry in translation from Drew University and is on the faculty at Morehead State University, Morehead, KY. She also served for three years as executive director for The Women's Conference / University of Kentucky.
Rebecca is a poet, translator, and documentarian. Her poems and translations have appeared in such journals as Ecotone, The Connecticut Review, Connnotation, and the Journal of Feminist Studies in Religion, and her documentary work has been collected in the anthology Plundering Appalachia and in Arwen Donahue's This is Home Now: Kentucky's Holocaust Survivors Speak. She is also the author of The Hatchet Buddha, a limited edition chapbook by Larkspur Press.
