The Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea hosts special artisan exhibits and events
throughout the year, such as book singings, informal music performances, and food tastings.
Events include demonstrations by artisans, held regularly on Fridays and Saturdays from 10:30 am - 3:30 pm. During these events an artisan
creates a thrown vase, a woven mat, watercolor paintings or some other work
while explaining the process. Sometimes visitors are given a hands-on
opportunity to see what working with clay or another medium is really like.
Even when a demonstration is not in progress there are often special
opportunities for learning about the creative process through exhibits and special activities in the exhibit areas.

Events also include readings and book signings by Kentucky authors, cooking
demonstrations, and informal music performances. And exhibits are regularly
displayed at the Center. Sometimes these exhibits focus on a theme like
wildflowers or landscapes, other times a medium like clay or metal.
And at the Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea, you can find up-to-date
information about working artisan studios, artisan demonstrations and
workshops, and other events in the region and across the state that you can
