Elizabeth Thomas, Berea, KY

photography

Elizabeth Thomas grew up in Corner, AL. Wanting to be just like her older sister, who had begun taking photographs as a hobby, nine-year-old Elizabeth developed her initial interest in photography.

Elizabeth moved to Kentucky as a college student at Berea College. She has had no formal training in photography, but became experienced through her college labor position as a public relations photographer.

Many of Elizabeth’s images used on cards were taken using film, but she is now shooting digital images. She and her husband like to travel, but Elizabeth says she also likes to see Berea as another place—a destination seen through her camera lens.

Works by Elizabeth Thomas can be found at Blue Tail Fly, Berea, KY and at the Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea, Berea, KY.
