Vicki Lemaster is a working artist with experience as an activities director in community service institutions. She has worked with seniors from diverse cultures, as well as children and adults with varied abilities. Her B.F.A. from Arizona State has been supplemented over the years with continued education at Marshall and Youngstown State Universities in art and photography. She also studied at Berea College taking horticulture, botany, and landscape architecture to enrich her artwork. She currently works as a Pilates and Yoga instructor.
Vicki’s primary disciplines are painting and printmaking. Her focus is exploring history and our relationship with the environment. Her goal is to foster an understanding of the interaction between science, art and history with the responsibility inherent in such a relationship. She uses photography to document historic places (both recognized and undocumented), plants, animals in their natural habitat, plus people and practices that are fast disappearing from our landscape. All are made with recycled material whenever possible.
Vicki Lamaster’s work can be found at the Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea, Berea KY.
