A retired Berea College Professor and member of the Kentucky Guild of Artists and Craftsmen, Larry Blair photographs extensively on location near his home in Berea as well as places where he travel. His work includes images from England, Scotland, Germany, Spain, Mexico, the American Southwest, as well as Appalachia where he was born and raised (East Kentucky).
All images are individually printed by Larry in his home studio using archival digital or traditional darkroom techniques. His recent work also includes pigment prints on canvas. Larry likes the formality of still life portraits and often frames his landscapes in a manner that is reminiscent of a planned setting. His love of flowers and nature are evident in his choice of subject matter.
Works by Larry Blair can be found at the Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea, Berea, KY.
