Ronald D. Gosses has been painting since childhood—both of his parents are artists. Professionally he has served as executive vice president for two major retailers in the US and Canada, developing store design, visual merchandising, fashion, fixtures and graphics.
It is only recently that he has begun to exhibit his painting. Ronald feels his artwork is driven by his emotions rather than his mind. Art allows him to express his responses to everyday stimuli.
His paintings are three-dimensional abstract. He considers them to be a form of sculpture on canvas. Rather than being static, they are ever changing as lighting and the angle of viewing changes. He feels his paintings are in part a response to today’s quest for ever-greater sensory experiences as well as a natural progression of abstract expressionism.
