Rhonda McEnroe is a resident of Owensboro, Kentucky, and attended both Kentucky Wesleyan and Brescia College. A self-taught artist, Rhonda comments, “As the daughter of a steelworker and a school teacher, I appreciate the dignity of hard work. I see beauty and value in all aspects of my daily life and I try to capture the essence of this viewpoint in my work.”
Rhonda’s focus with watercolors is realistic in approach, yet also impressionistic and abstract. She uses bright colors and likes to use light to enhance her subjects. She works in a variety of mediums including oils and pastels, and her subjects include landscapes, still life, abstracts and portraits.
Rhonda has also taught both individual and group painting classes in both oil and watercolors. She is active in Owensboro’s art community and was a founding partner of Gallery 412. Rhonda is a juried member of the Kentucky Guild of Artists and Craftsmen and is a member of the Kentucky Watercolor Society.
