Margaret Bertoli attended Marymount College and went on to receive her BA degree from the University of Louisville. She became an interior designer working in Louisville and in her spare time began doing portrait painting.
As she continued to paint, Margaret found herself receiving requests for commissions from such places as the Humana Hospitals, banks and commercial designers. She became so busy with these kinds of commissioned paintings, that she left her traditional job to become a full-time painter.
Margaret also enjoys sharing her talents with others and has taught portrait painting for 30 years to adults and children. When she began getting newspaper and media coverage for her awards, she started a career in public speaking as well - sharing her creative experiences and ideas with others.
Works by Margaret Bertoli can be found at the Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea, Berea, KY.
