Lisa Bourque was born and raised in Canada where she discovered her love for nature, the outdoors and painting. In 2001 she fell in love with Kentucky and has been here ever since.
Lisa’s especially enjoys painting on rocks and stones. She loves the natural look they provide for nature-inspired works. She loves to spend time outside, which is where her inspiration comes from. Lisa says she can often be found scouring creek beds for rocks. When she picks up a rock she knows what she will paint on it: “A butterfly rock looks much different from a dragonfly rock!”
Lisa paints to make the world a more colorful and beautiful place, one stone at a time!
Lisa’s work can be found at festivals and art shows, at the Appalachian Artisan Center, Hindman, KY; and the Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea, Berea, KY.
