Linda M. Truty is a self-taught artist who has been painting in the folk art style since the 1980’s. The rolling hills of Laurel County in South Eastern Kentucky are home to Linda and her husband Chester. They have four sons who are now grown, allowing her to devote her time to painting and native wild flower gardening.
The beautiful Barn Quilt Trails along America’s highways have inspired Linda to create a line of over thirty 5” x 5” paintings of traditional quilt patterns from America’s past, designed to be displayed indoors. Linda also paints some original designs and variations of traditional quilt patterns.
Linda also creates special works for clients, depicting designs they have created, or family heirloom patterns.
Works by Linda M. Truty can be found at the Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea, Berea, KY.
