Lindy Evans began her doll making career in 1975 when she began making fabric dolls and animals as holiday gifts for family and friends. After 17 years of as a teacher and administrator in public education, Lindy began to pursue doll making full time.
In her home workshop Lindy creates one-of-a-kind and limited edition dolls developed from studies of real people. She sculpts faces from polymer clay, paints the features, and uses vintage fabrics for clothing. Her work ranges from 6” to life-size.
Lindy’s work has been featured on Kentucky Education Television, HGTV, Bluegrass and Backroads, and in numerous national magazines. She is a juried member of the Southern Highland Craft Guild, the Kentucky Guild of Artists & Craftsmen, and the Kentucky Crafted Program.
