Originally a native of Indiana, Paula Clark has lived most of her life in Kentucky. She received both her BA in art and BA in art education from the University of Kentucky and a Masters in education from Georgetown College. Paula taught art in public schools until 2006 when she began creating art more full time.
Clark uses water, acrylic and painted collage techniques using sheets of wood for her ground. She uses cut and torn paper to create her collage work and the focus of her works is on color and texture. Clark states that she creates art that emphasizes the positive, sometimes spiritual side of life and she draws inspiration from her immediate surroundings and landscape.
