Linda Thompson started weaving in 1984 on an old two harness Union rug loom. She says that not much came off that old run loom for several years, until her youngest off-spring “flew the nest.” She then had time on her hands and became more and more involved in weaving.
That one rug loom has grown into Mt. View rafts, a small home-based business. There are now three looms humming and shelves and shelves of materials, equipment, and resources. Linda retired from her day job at the end of 2010 and now joyfully weaves full time.
Mt. View Crafts produces rugs, tea towels, placemats and table runners. All items are made from cotton yarns unless otherwise stated, to allow for machine washing and drying and give many years of easy enjoyment. .
