Karen Witt has been sewing all her life and activity involved in quilting since the 1980s. She has taught quilting across the county and in France for Quiltmania. Her quilts have been exhibited and received awards at such national shows as the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival, the American Quilter’s Society (AQS) show and the National Quilting Association (NQA) show.
In recent years, Karen has specialized in the history of quilting, the use of reproduction fabrics, and the creation of quilts with historic significance. She currently dates and appraises quilts, lectures, teaches, and designs reproduction patterns.
Karen’s quilts have been featured on websites and in quilt publications and she has collaborated with her daughter Erin to publish a book with Kansas City Star, Like Mother/Like Daughter: Two Generations of Quilts.
