Robert Brigl studied ceramics at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, KY under the direction of professor Bill Weaver. After graduating, Robert then apprenticed with Weaver, assisting him in the building of a studio and kilns. Robert worked as the exhibits curator for the Kentucky Museum for many years before deciding to get back to clay. He is a high school art teacher in Warren County Public Schools and creates carved and sculptural ceramics. Robert makes both jugs and bottles adorned with clay sculpted faces and figures. He often adorns these finished works with semi-precious stones.
Robert is a juried member of the Kentucky Craft Marketing Program and regularly shows his work at the co-operative studio and gallery, The Pots Place in Bowling Green, KY.
Robert Brigl’s pottery can also be found at The Pots Place, Bowling Green, KY; and at the Kentucky Artisan Center in Berea, KY.
