Rayford Watts teaches English at Cumberland College in Williamsburg, KY, where he had been the recipient of the Fuqua excellence in teaching award. He began learning pottery part-time and now his wife June has joined him in their Paint Creek Pottery.
June and Rayford have been making traditional pottery since 1973. They live on a farm about 7 miles west of Williamsburg Kentucky. There they run a small retail store called the “Two at a Time Gallery” where they sell their pottery and sculptural pieces.
Paint Creek Pottery exhibits at Kentucky Crafted: The Market, which is a wholesale and retail show sponsored by Kentucky Craft Marketing.
Paint Creek Pottery’s work can be found at Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea, Berea, KY; and at the Cumberland Inn Gift Shop in Williamsburg, KY.
