Sonia Lee’s products began in the kitchen as an effort to create a great tasting dessert that would fit into a low fat diet. After experimenting with several ideas, Carolyn Weber hit upon the taste she wanted and the first cheesecake flavor was born. Carolyn packaged her cheesecake flavors and asked her friend, Sonia Lee to sell them at a craft show. When they sold out several times in a row, the two women formed a partnership and used Sonia’s name as the brand. They soon began producing dips and enlarged the selection of both cheesecake and dip flavors. The company kept growing and added Cappuccino flavors and then hearty soups and chess pies.
Today the original partners have retired, but the company added a daughter and son-in-law as partners. Together they produce everything by hand with the finest ingredients available. By staying a small company, they have been able to provide superior service and products.
